A2 Ghee: Made with the Bilona Process

A2 Ghee: Made with the Bilona Process

The whole world is finding ways to get healthier. All the fancy techniques, advance lifestyle which seemed attractive in the beginning eventually turned out to be the root cause of a lot of issues. Traditional practices had scientific reasons for every process and consumption, however with time and change in lifestyle, people mended the ways to suit their convenience.

Wheel of nature is turning again and finally the importance and goodness of traditional practices is getting noticed again. Going by the bibles of Ayurveda, Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita, Ghee, or Clarified Butter, is given the supreme status.

Traditionally, Ghee is made with the Bilona or churning process. The milk is boiled and then brought to room temperature. The milk is then put in a big pot with a churning rod in it and a little curd is added to the milk, which helps in forming thick butter. Then the butter is boiled again in a large pan, till the clarified ghee comes up and the residue settles down. The process is slow and takes time, but isn’t that how life is? Everything has its own pace and destined to be processed in a particular speed.

Most of the times, companies choose to discard the Bilona process and opt for processed Ghee. Slow A2 Ghee is proud to take you back to where it all began. At Slow, we churn the milk with Bilona process to ensure the goodness of the milk does not lessen. This process also ensures that the Slow A2 Ghee smells and tastes exactly the way our Dadi-Nani served us.

Slow A2 Ghee not just smells amazing, it also brings with it innumerable health benefits. Slow A2 Ghee is slightly yellowish in colour than the regular ghee and is grainy in texture. Its rich aroma adds nutrition and extra taste to any dessert or even by simply smearing it on rotis. A2 Ghee is one of the best antioxidants and helps in digestion and boosting immunity.

Do try it for yourself and buy your bottle of Slow A2 Ghee from Slow Bazaar and if you are taken on a nostalgia ride, then do write to you and share your experience.
