In the world of chemicals, synthetic fabrics and harmful dyes, we have brought for you that is made with pure love for Mother Earth.
Slow Bazaar presents Organic Cotton Scarves.
Organic cotton is grown without the use of chemicals and pesticides.
The dyes used are natural and made by the cold process technique.
The cotton of our scarves and the dyes used both are certified with the latest version of GOTS -6.2.
These beautiful scarves are completely handmade right from from the picking of the cotton bulb to the finishing. We procure our cotton from Andhra Pradesh where we work especially with the marginal farmers who have less than 1 bigha of land. Then the scarf’s thread is rowed by traditional charkha in Dariyamau ( Barabanki) and weaved in the villages of Masauli (Barabanki).
The dyeing of thread and finishing is done in Badagaon village of Barabanki. Women who have been a victim of domestic violence have found a way out to earn their livelihood in Badagaon by dyeing the threads..
The fabric is very soft and cosy. It is a statement in the new sustainable fashion era.
These wonder scarves work opposite to the weather making them suitable for round the year use.
These scarves prevent you from the rashes around the neck which we mostly get in winters from the wools and in summer due to different composition of the fabrics.
The scarves are composed of 100% cotton and not even a single thread of polystyrene. This makes it very comfortable to wrap up babies in winter.
They prevent you from UV rays and sunburns and are very good for sensitive skin.
Scarfs absorb 20% less dust than any other fabric and also, they are biodegradable. You can put the scarf in a pit and leave it for 6-8 months. It will turn into manure which is highly suitable topsoil for agriculture.
So when are you adding this amazing scarf to your wardrobe?
